Archives reading rooms

This collection of images of archives reading rooms was put together in response to a query on a discussion list for archivists. It represents some examples of such spaces I’ve encountered during my travels.

I don’t have that many to show, so I’ve extended my definition of archives to include patrimonial collections with reading rooms where users can consult historical documents that are non-circulating and stored in closed stacks.
